BCCI Central Contract list: BCCI announced the central contract list for this year on Monday which includes several new faces. While Rishabh Pant has been promoted from category B to category A, seven young players have got the central contract for the first time.
The BCCI central contract list has 4 categories- A+, A, B, C. No changes have been done in A+ category which includes Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja.
In category A, Rishabh Pant is the new entrant who has been promoted from category B. Alongside him, KL Rahul, Mohammad Siraj, Mohammad Shami, Shubhman Gill, Hardik Pandya are placed in the same group. Earlier R Ashwin was also in the same category, since he is retired now, he has been excluded.
In category B, Shreyash Iyer has been included after being left out last year due to non availability for domestic matches. Ishan Kishan was also removed from the central contract due to the same reason. But both of them later made themselves available for playing domestic matches. Ishan Kishan has been included in category C. Other than Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Yashasvi Jaiswal are also in category B.

All the new entrants have been included in category C. Seven new faces have been included in this category. They are Dhruv Jurel, Sarafraz Khan, Nitish Reddy, Abhishek Sharma, Varun Chakaravarthy, Harshit Rana and Akash Deep. 12 more players are there in this category.
Grade A+ (4 Athletes): Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja
Grade A (6 Athletes): Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya
Grade B (5 Athletes): Suryakumar Yadav, Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Grade C (19 Athletes): Rinku Singh, Tilak Verma, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Shivam Dube, Ravi Bishnoi, Washington Sundar, Mukesh Kumar, Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh, Prasidh Krishna, Rajat Patidar, Dhruv Jurel, Sarafraz Khan, Nitish Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Abhishek Sharma, Akash Deep, Varun Chakaravarthy and Harshit Rana
