The 18-year-old Suruchi Singh was very impressive in her run to her first-ever World Cup medal and title. To do so, she got the better of early leader Qian Wei and her teammates Jiang Ranxin and Yao Qianxun. Qian fell behind Suruchi at the second elimination round and chased the Indian for the rest of the competition. Suruchi finished on a total of 244.6, while Qian scored 241.9.

Vijayveer Sidhu had a close encounter in the men’s 25m rapid fire pistol final, beating Riccardo Mazzetti on the final shot.Sidhu started the first series with just one successful hit from five. It remained tied going into the final five shots, which saw Sidhu and Mazzetti miss one each going into the final shot. While Sidhu scored, the Italian missed, giving the Indian the gold medal.

Two bronze medal winners in the 2024 Paris Olympics, Manu Bhakher, failed to win a single medal at the Buenos Aires event.
