Neeraj Chopra in action this year
The event marked Neeraj’s first competitive outing of 2025, as he continues to train in Potchefstroom ahead of the elite international season. The Paris Olympic silver medallist is set to step onto a bigger stage next at the Doha Diamond League on May 16, where he will face a much stronger field in one of the sport’s premier global competitions.
This was the first major event in which Neeraj Chopra is taking part after his marriage to Himani Mor earlier this year. The wedding took place at the SuryaVilas Resort in Kumarhatti, near Solan, on the Kalka-Shimla Highway. It was an small and intimate affair, with only 40 50 guests, comprising close family members from both sides.
This season he will surely target to breach the 90m hurdle that he been focusing on for a long time. His personal best is 89.94m that he achieved at the Stockholm Diamond League in Sweden on June 30, 2022.
